HAND-CRAFTED BEVERAGES

Care and precision go into every coffee beverage prepared at Lil’s Cafe. From the coffee beans themselves, which are thoughtfully selected and roasted by Portland (Maine!)-based Tandem Coffee, to the local milk used in our espresso drinks, to the latte art for garnish, these beverages are crafted with the intention to get your day off to an amazing start.

Premium teas are also available in-house, which can be served traditionally or in steamed milk for a more luxurious experience. Ask to see our complete menu.

HOMEMADE, HOMEGROWN FOOD

All the breads, pastries, and soups you see here are made right in our own kitchen. We believe the best food is made fresh with real ingredients. When we can, we like to source those real ingredients close to home. We get the sausage used in our breakfast sandwiches from our friendly neighbor, MEat.  Seasonally you will see locally-harvested produce from Kittery’s own Greenlaw Gardens. Our berries are fresh, never frozen. In all we do, we stand behind our product, striving to provide a new standard of food to the seacoast.

Our locals stand behind it, too! Thank you to neighborhood regulars and traveling passers-through for spreading the good word:

Lil’s is the cafe every neighborhood should have.” — Rachel Forrest, Taste Spotlight

Our first stop at the cafe was made out of necessity, as we weren’t going to make it through dinner without a strong cup of coffee. But as soon as our barista heard we were first-timers, she insisted that we try their famous crullers. Before we could protest, we were tucking into impossibly eggy and light, tender and spongy crullers. Although later our bartender at the Black Birch would admonish us for starting our evening of eating with doughnuts, we had no regrets.” — Kate Morris, Zest Magazine

what may be the world’s best cruller” — Kathy Gunst, The Washington Post

We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the food you gave us for the senior field trip at Traip Academy. Senior Reflection Day at Fort Foster was a big success, in part to the delicious crullers and coffee… From the bottom of our hearts (and stomachs!), thank you for your generosity. We are lucky to have such a community-minded organization right here in Kittery!” — Traip Academy
